Kaitlyn is now 21 months old and hit a major milestone today; she went potty in the toilet for the first time! Her "firsts" are getting few and far between, but this is a big one. Here's the email we received from Michelle (babysitter) today:
So, your little daughter peed twice on the potty today. I went to change her diaper and she was not very wet and I asked do you have to pee? She pointed towards the bathroom and said "potty". I figured I would give it a shot. I sat her on the potty and after a few seconds...she peed! She peed a little, stopped, then a little more and then a little more. It was cute! Then we flushed and washed her hands. I gave her a miniature marshmallow as a reward.We went out to dinner with some friends tonight and Kaitlyn used the potty there, too. It's a good day!
After lunch, before nap, her diaper was a little wet but, I sat her on the potty anyhow. Then she peed! She was so excited! And very excited to get another little marshmallow! It was cute!
