Last night after we put Kaitlyn to bed, she climbed out of her crib, came down stairs, got in my lap and laid down. Needless to say, Shawnna and I were shocked and frightened at the thought of how she could have been hurt jumping from her crib to the floor.
Today, Kaitlyn didn't want to go down for a nap and since she can now climb out of her crib at will (she demonstrated as a sign of protest), we put the mattress on the floor and put up a baby gate at her door. This video shows what we found when the crying finally died down. A toddler bed is coming soon...
